Sales & Side Projects

So it has been a long while since I last updated. I am working as many hours as I can get as a Sales Rep. for a Verizon Wireless retail store. When I'm not doing that, I'm spending time with my new wife and our wonderful little mini doxie, Lillian, or I am working on side projects at Passport.

I have been working hard lately on some promotional material to be mailed out for a seminar in August for "Children & Diabetes" education. I have also been continuing to work on the Clear Lake History documentary, which is becoming more and MORE like a 55 minute photo-montage. None-the-less, I am working hard to make the movie as accurate, in depth, and informative as possible.

I am also still looking to find work of (and finding more and more passion for it) graphic design and web design and production. I'm always looking for opportunities, so if you yourself, or somebody you know, is looking for a designer, send me some specs of what you're looking for and we can work from there!

MetalCraft

Just started working on a training video, designed to teach people how to apply MetalCraft labels for asset tracking. Interesting project. It allows me to record voiceovers, and piece together footage, still images, and graphics to create a (roughly) 2 minutes tutorial. I also enjoy working my freelance job because it leave me somewhat in charge of the office while the boss is out working on another project.

I also will be starting my new job (I finish at the TV station on Feb. 25th) so I'm excited about that. I don't like the idea of a sales job, but I'm willing to do it because it means less driving, better pay that the TV station, and potentially a decent chunk of commission. I am still looking for another job (career) or hoping that the freelance could become a more consistent thing so I could make that my "full-time" job.

Aside from that, still working on saving up money for a nice D-SLR camera so I can start doing some photography and maybe when there's money, start a little studio of my own.

What I do.

This is the 1st edition of "In The Works" on TheIanFuchs.com.

I will use this as a fast and easy way to keep you updated on what I'm currently working on, and give some insight as to what I do.

Currently I'm working part-time/freelance for "Passport Media Creations" (passmc.com). I work as a video editor, graphic designer, and office assistant. At PMC, we are currently working on producing an hour long TV program, covering the inception of historic Clear Lake, IA. This discovery channel style documentary covers the exploration of the land, the conflict with the native Sioux and Winnebago Indians, and the settling of the area (and all the way through the middle 1900's). This project allows for lots of very creative historic reenactments, as well as a large amount of professional interviews with local figures and historians alike.

That's all I really have for big things going on in the work world right now. If you have questions or feel you can utilize my abilities and services, feel free to contact me at (816)830.3104 or fuchs.ian@gmail.com
